Abstract

In order to reduce the power dissipation of CMOS circuits the switching factor for video processing applications has been investigated. Simulation of real image data provides an estimate of the switching factor. The knowledge of a statistical model for the switching factor has been used to derive circuit techniques for reduced power dissipation.
